On Cumulative Entropies and Lifetime Estimations,th the cumulative residual entropy studied by Wang . (2003a) and (2003b). After recalling its main properties, including a connection to reliability theory, we discuss estimates of random lifetimes based on the empirical cumulative entropy, which is suitably expressed in terms of the dual normalized sample spacings.

A Network of Coupled Pyramidal Neurons Behaves as a Coincidence Detector,odels are coupled by excitatory synapses and each one receives an excitatory pulse at a random time extracted from a Gaussian distribution. Moreover, each cell model is injected with a noisy current. It was found that the excitatory coupling promotes the transmission of the the synaptic inputs on a time scale of a few msec.

Detection of Speech Dynamics by Neuromorphic Units,can be synthesized as a layered structure. Results from different simulation stages are provided as well as a discussion on implementation details. Conclusions and future work are oriented to describe the functionality to be covered in the next research steps.
