Communication between Nerves and Muscles: Postnatal Development in Kitten Hindlimb Fast and Slow Twid show a progressive increase of approximately 15% from 2 to 6 weeks, and a further equal increment thereafter. Evidence for the presence of a significant degree of polyneuronal innervation of these twitch muscles in the young kitten is presented and the functional implications are discussed.

Recent Experiments in Memory Transfernot merely cause an increase in general emotionality or a generalized “fear of the dark”. New behavioral measures of the strength of the effect have proved at least as sensitive as the older way of merely counting the number of seconds that injected animals spent in dark or white chambers.

Mode of Action of Some Drugs Which Affect Learning and Memoryely antagonises the excitatory actions of 5-HT and in some cases also glutamate excitation. It is suggested that this action may be the basis for the psychotomimetic properties of LSD 25 and might also account for its effects on learning and memory.
