The Chemical Stability and Electrochemical Behavior of Dy2O3 in Molten CaCl2in molten CaCl., and it is a good candidate for the extraction of dysprosium or dysprosium alloys through direct electrochemical reduction. The electrochemical behavior of dysprosium oxide in contact with either a solid molybdenum or a liquid tin cathode has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry in a CaCl. melt at 1173 K (900 °C).

Influence of Oxygen on Surface Tension of ZirconiumThe surface tension of liquid zirconium samples was measured in both undercooled and superheated conditions. The effect of oxygen on surface tension was determined: oxygen in zirconium samples decreases the surface tension of liquid samples, with only a small change in the temperature dependence.
