Deposits of Metallic Impurities in Cracks of Creep-Rupture Specimens of Type 304 ss Tested in Flowi to determine quantitatively the influence of a flowing sodium environment upon the creep-rupture behavior of Type 304 ss at 550°C. The sodium tests were performed in the three non-isothermal dynamic loops of these companies and for a valid comparison parallel tests in air were carried out with the same heat.

Influence of Lithium on The Structural Stability of Two Austenitic Stainless Steels of The Type 316sections were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray microanalysis. It was observed that for all the steels in contact with pure Li, a corrosion layer depleted in Mn and enriched in Ni is formed. In some of these materials, a grain boundary attack was also evidenced in the unterlying matrix.

Sodium Loops for Material Behavior Testing In Flowing Sodium in KFK,nment on creep crack growth and on fatigue cracking behaviour, two new loops have been constructed, one of them connected to two fatigue testing systems, the other containing four creep rupture test sections.
