Plant Leaf Surfaces in Living Nature,Nature has evolved species with multifunctional properties by using diversity of the structure and morphology in surfaces. Hierarchical structured surfaces are common in nature (Koch et al. ., .; Bhushan .). The complexity of hierarchical structures and their functionality in biological organisms surpass all abiotic natural surfaces.
