On a Spatial Clustering Algorithm for Image AnalysisA computationally efficient spatial clustering algorithm is presented for image segmentation and compression. The algorithm can automatically determine the minimum number of clusters and can also work on a specified number of clusters. Examples are given on the processing of Seasat images using the algorithm.
