Evaluation of Dam Overtopping Risk Based on Univariate and Bivariate Flood Frequency Analyses,voir, and discharge coefficient of spillway as uncertain variables and using two uncertainty analysis methods; Monte Carlo simulation and Latin hypercube sampling. Finally, the results of both univariate and bivariate frequency analyses were compared to show the significance of bivariate analysis on dam overtopping.

Risk and Uncertainty Analysis, presented to illustrate the application of probabilistic methods in hydrosystem‘s design, planning and operations. Although the main focus of the presented examples is in the area of hydrosystem engineering, the techniques described are equally applicable to the other risk-based studies.
