Segmented Block Copolymers Based on Polyamide-4,6 and Poly(Propylene Oxide)x has a Tg of -60°C, the Tg’s of the copolymers were higher as a result of dissolution of uncrystallized polyamide segments in the PPOx phase. The high melting point of nylon-4,6 was approached only by copolymer of high polyamide content.

The Effect of Emulsifier-Polymer Complex Formation on Particle Nucleation in Emulsion Polymerizationon of MMA also affects particle size is shown to be caused by (partial) incorporation of PEO inside the PMMA later particles. Furthermore, evidence is presented that strongly suggests grafting of PMMA onto PEO to be absent in these systems.
