The Mass Function of Faint Field Galaxiese consistent with the no-evolution or pure luminosity evolution models. The excess faint blue galaxies seen in the B band number counts at intermediate magnitudes are a result of a low normalization, and do not dominate the population until . ≈ 25. Book 1994 of the Hilo conference, excitement was running high and everyone present was in favor of another meeting. I recall suggesting to Al Fowler that the next meeting could be in Tucson. Despite Al‘s reply to the effect that Hawaii was a much nicer location, a meeting was held in Tucson three years later
