Histology,ize of guard cells etc. were observed in the treated population and the frequency of abnormal stomata varied with different treatments. Histological changes of morphological abnormalities with reference to the course of vascular bundles in tricotyledony, fission and fusion of laminae, and fusion of a pedicel with inflorescence stalk were studied.

Recurrent Irradiation, reported that such method is very good for accumulating and expanding genetic variability. Author did recurrent irradiation experiments on chrysanthemum and rose and observed that the percentage of mutations and spectrum of mutations was more in recurrent irradiated populations in both of these species.

Detection of Mutations,dual plant selection and bulk selection. Somatic mutation in vegetatively propagated plants is mostly detected in M.V.. Somatic mutations were also detected in M.V. and later generations from normal looking irradiated plants in M.V. or from mutant clones which were detected earlier.

Combined Treatment,Mutagen induce genetic and physiological damages and mutations can be influenced and modified by pre-and post treatment of seeds with mutagen (chemicals/radiation) and considerable amount of works have been done on this aspect. Origin of rare mutation and mutation types have been reported by pre-irradiation treatment of seeds with colchicines.
