Establishing an Institutional E-Book Program: A Case Study for Changeir e-texts. Today, the university’s e-textbook program issues more than 25,000 e-textbooks to students to 47% of the courses on the university’s class schedule. It is estimated that students save about $3.5 million per year over the cost of traditional textbooks. Details about the program are included as well as information about lessons learned.

E-Textbooks, Inclusive Access, and Academic Performancedes than students enrolled in non-e-textbook courses. This is true for both undergraduate and graduate students and regardless of ethnicity. Implications are discussed as well as the importance of developing an institutional e-textbook program that meets the needs of campus stakeholders.
