The Hydraulic Plant, drying. A young toad pauses by the stem on its way to lower ground where, perchance, it will find water. A faint sigh from the stem, followed by a popping noise, startles the toad. Fearing an unknown predator, it hops quickly away. It knows nothing of plumbing.
