The discovered paradigmatic, historical characteristicsof scientific knowledge, and the role of rhetoric, interpretation andcontextuality enabled us to use similar arguments in natural sciencestoo. In this way a new research field, the hermeneutics of scienceemerged based upon the works of Husserl, Merleau-Ponty, Heidegger andGadamer. .A dialogue between philosophers and scientists begins in this volumeon hermeneutic approaches to physics, biology, ethology, mathematicsand cognitive science. Scientific principles, methodologies, discourse, language, and metaphors are analyzed, as well as the roleof the lay public and the legitimation of science. Differenthermeneutical-phenomenological approaches to perception, experiments, methods, discovery and justification and the genesis ofscience are presented. Hermeneutics shed a new light on theincommensurability of paradigms, the possibility of translation andthe historical understanding of science. | 出版日期 | Book 1999 | 关键词 | Edmund Husserl; Hans-Georg Gadamer; Jürgen Habermas; Martin Heidegger; Maurice Merleau-Ponty; Max Scheler | 版次 | 1 | doi | https://doi.org/10.1007/978-94-015-9293-2 | isbn_softcover | 978-90-481-5257-5 | isbn_ebook | 978-94-015-9293-2Series ISSN 0068-0346 Series E-ISSN 2214-7942 | issn_series | 0068-0346 | copyright | Springer Science+Business Media B.V. 1999 |
