The Nature-Nurture Problem in Creativitylled experiments, this chapter has to rely very largely on observational and interview studies, historical or biographic information, the opinions of critics or colleagues about creative individuals, and discussions of theories, all of which are liable to ambiguity and subjectivity.

Second, I will be concerned only with creative acts at the highest level, that is, with the best and most valued works of artists, scientists, and scholars.
