Methods for the Preparation of Optically Active Chiral Compounds, use of chiral substrates or auxiliary groups allows to control the stereochemical outcome of several reactions through intramolecular transfer of chirality. Although these methodologies continue to be widely employed, asymmetric catalysis has emerged as more sustainable option and some processes have been yet applied at industrial level.
