This GPS network has brought us many remarkable results in the field of geodesy and crustal movements so far and is expected to motivate a breakthrough in the earth sciences.

Pagoda Structures in Marine Sediments, are mentioned. Several suggestions are made as to what still could be done better to improve the accuracy of existing instruments. Future (smaller and automated) absolute instruments are anticipated. Finally several new uses for absolute gravimeters are described.

SSIA “Metrology” Absolute Gravimetersed. Random and systematic errors of the gravimeter are estimated as 10 and 10 µGal respectively. Results of the first field observations in Poland are in agreement with the expected gravimeter’s errors.
