Sabine Urban,Ulrike Mayrhofer,Björn Walliseristical methods does not eliminate the systematic error. Both kinds of inhomogeneities can be eliminated only using the correction procedures. In this way compatible and homogeneous data sets of precipitation for any time period and any size of area can be provided.

Record amounts of precipitation for various durations have been obtained..In the future, all the generalized climatological infommtion can be displayed in the form of monthly maps, which will be used for applied purposes and for forecasting.
