Quantification of the Spatial Distribution of Line Segments with Applications to CAD of Chest X-Rayature based on the extended Voronoi tessellation. The former quantifies the degree of concentration, and the latter the difference of density. We explain the two features with their applications to the benign/malignant discrimination of lung tumors. Multigrid Convergence and Surface Area Estimation,to prove multigrid convergence of surface area estimators based on discrete normal vector field integration. The paper details an algorithm which is optimal in time and multigrid convergent to estimate the surface area and a very efficient algorithm based on a local but adaptive computation.
