Plant Protoplast Fusion and Hybridizationth an inbuilt nitrogen fixing system. Very recently the following appeared in a well known newspaper: “The first aim of scientists is to introduce into cereals the ability to fix nitrogen which would massively increase yield and eliminate the need for nitrogen fertilizers.”
