The Mother of All Conflations: Parmenides’ Proofentary conceptions of logical proof that we know of. It is appropriate to begin, then, with a few notes on Parmenides poem, for Parmenides has been called ‘the father of logical proof’ and even ‘the father of logical indirect proof.

How are concepts generated? And how do we come to choose some concepts (supposedly “legitimate” ones) and avoid others (supposedly non-legitimate ones) in the first place?

Outline of Preliminary Notesation, and finally Proof, direct and indirect. My excuse is that these terms are not clear enough as they do not have a canonic version. Significant points in the literature in which they play a role are unclear. I am afraid I found it important to clarify them somewhat.
