Human Fetal Tissue Transplantationear importance of motivation, and the apparent dichotomy between people’s actions being to either try and gain something positive (e.g. money), or try and lose something negative (stress, anger) and conceptualise this in a way that makes sense. The idea of the ‘chain of choices’ leading to an event is also reconsidered.

Information Assimilation and Processing,depth here are some of the (perhaps) unexpected costs of committing crime that sit outside of formal sanctions. Indeed, as evidence within this chapter suggests, those formal sanctions may not be as off-putting to people considering crime as may be expected.
