The process of writing the Conference Statement was guided by Bas Verschuuren, who serves as co-Chair of IUCN’s Specialist group on Cultural and Spiritual Values of Protected Areas and is co-founder of the Sacred Natural Sites Initiative, to whom we would like to express a special gratitude.
