Scientific Work by Sir Julian Huxley, FRS,s in the body of animals and plants (Ford and Huxley, 1927). Indeed, he and I were so much involved in that study that it is difficult after this length of time to apportion our respective contributions to it.

Human Geographical Variation,uch better. On relooking at these photographs I suspect that they were not selected at random! But the point was well made that racial/national stereotypes are a myth, and, more positively, that human beings in every country are extremely variable.

Palgrave Innovations in Philosophym’ published as an essay in which humanity was first described as a phenomenon to be studied and analysed by scientific means. It is for this reason that I will attempt to review two aspects of human evolutionary studies as a contribution to this symposium in his honour.
