Technical analysis for securities trading,‘Effectiveness’ concerns the extent to which stated goals and objectives are being achieved. Both ‘goals’ and ‘objectives’ refer to the desired outcomes of a particular policy, programme or service. There are other labels which are also sometimes used to refer to the same idea, e.g. aim, purpose, mission, or target.
