Considerations on Soft Mud Response Under Waves,at the soft mud-fluid interface and the wave damping coefficient is presented. This model considers the upper fluid to be Newtonian and the lower mud layer to be viscoelastic. Application of the model to limited amount of previously obtained data on mud motion indicates encouraging trends.
