Essential Oils as Green Solvents,This chapter introduces the solvency of essential oils (EOs) as green solvents, in particular, application of terpenes as solvents in extraction. The physiochemical properties of such solvents are predicted in comparison to the conventional petroleum-based solvents. Several case studies for different purposes are provided for future consideration.
