Victims of Environmental Harm, effects of the offending to be felt and therefore is viewed by some as victimless. This means that many victims of environmental crime will not be recognised as such, will not participate in the resolution of the crime, and will not receive compensation for the harm suffered.

The Benefits and Limitations of Restorative Justice Conferencing,mes which are more innovative and targeted to repair the harm occasioned by the offending. Conferencing can be more expensive, take longer and require more energy than traditional prosecution and this could be considered its primary limitation.
