This results in an efficient and reliable design tool, which can be implemented via common FEM mesh generator and CAD input-output facilities.

Shape Optimization Using Boundary Elementsent method was used not only to solve the state equations, but also to provide sensitivity analysis. The analogous formulation of the problem, but treated using the different method, was studied in [1].
