More than Just Distances from Electron Density Studies,This chapter provides a short synopsis of the basics of electron density (ED) investigations. The two predominant approaches for modeling electron density distributions (EDDs) are explained and compared. Various possible interpretations of the resulting EDD are presented and their potential translations into chemical concepts are depicted.
