Ever conscious of this mouth full of a title, IUCN added more recently a subtitle- “The World Conservation Union”.

The mandate of the new organization was to integrate the concept and principles of sustainable development into the formal education systems in Canada. This is a brief overview of how it has carried out its mandate to date.
