The Process of Conducting an Ecohealth Research Project: A Participatory Action Research Approachry action research (PAR). It also cautioned against the uncritical adoption and use of concepts such as “community”, “participation” and “empowerment”. This chapter moves beyond the epistemology and ontological basis of PAR, to discussing how participatory action research might be used to conduct an ecohealth research project in the field.
