Some Comments on “Inferior” (Regressive) InputsRecently a special phenomenon in the theory of the firm, originally describes by Hicks in ., has become the subject of an intense discussion.. The phenomenon was originally termed regressivity, but has recently been re-baptized inferiority. As a matter of fact, it is completely analogous to inferiority of goods in the theory of consumer behaviour.

The Chaotic MonopolistThe search of a profit maximum by a monopolistic firm is studied, given a demand function with variable elasticity of demand. The system has multiple optimal solutions, so the search algorithm may result in chaotic behaviour.
