Multiplicity and Coexistence in ,writers like Virginia Woolf is her precision of expression: the utmost attention to language that pushes prose close to the brink of poetry and drama. The goal of eliminating conventional and verbal excess from the novelistic form is foremost in Winterson’s writing, a point she has stressed on numerous occasions.
