Carbon dioxide dissolves in the plasma from the alveolar air in line with Henry’s law. The dissolved CO. gives the partial pressure of CO. in blood (PCO.).

Heart as a Rhythmic Pump be heard with a stethoscope. Contraction mechanism of the cardiac muscle themselves do not generate the heart sounds. Rather, the pressure differences across the two functional sets of valves, which result from ventricle contraction or relaxation, shuts the specific valves and generates the heart sounds.
