Cosmetic, Pharmaceutical and Medical Polymer Applications — the Same Players in Different Gamesy to similar materials requirements and partly to similar chemistry in the end uses. This paper indicates how similar polymers can be used in these diverse fields, and how the basic technology is analogous in each case. Examples include poly(saccharides), poly-(peptides), methacrylate derivatives and poly(silicones).

Short-Range Forecasting for Energy,Organo-modified silicones were structurally derived from poly(di­methylsiloxane)s by replacing one or more of the methyl groups with lipo­philic or hydrophilic organic moieties to produce several new types of polymers, which have been shown to be major interest to cosmetic formula­tors.
