Background,ackle the problem of global warming. CO.-induced corrosion may impair the performance of a CCUS system, and characterization and control of CO.-induced corrosion plays a very important role in safe deployment of CCUS. It is very important to characterize, monitor and mitigate CO.-induced corrosion at all stages of the CCUS operation chain.

Corrosion Theory and Corrosion Characterization Techniques,orrosion, passivation, etc.) and cement corrosion (i.e., soft water corrosion, salt corrosion, acid corrosion, alkali corrosion, etc.) are systematically discussed. Widely-used metal and cement corrosion characterization techniques like weight loss method, SEM, XRD, EDS, and CT are discussed as well.
