Load Frequency Control of Two-Area Power System by Using 2 Degree of Freedom PID Controller Designe 2-DOF (Degree of freedom)-PID controller, are used as auxiliary controller one after one in the system. Both controller’s parameter will be optimized by firefly algorithm which is a bio-inspired algorithm. A comparison is done between the results of both controller for settling time, oscillation, peak overshoot/undershoot.
