An important part of the bookdeals with the image rejection performance of quadrature sigma-deltamodulators. It is shown that techniques like dynamic-element-matchingand integration of a mixer with the sigma-delta modulator greatlyenhance the performance and functionality. In addition, the authorsprovide the reader with a theoretical overview of continuous-timesigma-delta modulation, including non-ideal effects, stability issuesand different filter designs. The book‘s concluding chapters presentchip realizations showing practical implementations oflow-power andhigh-performance sigma-delta modulators for GSM and AM/FM radioapplications.
