Converging on Consciousness?,l, or converge in a predictable way around the cognitive and sensory processes that measures of consciousness really assess. Instead of assuming, as is often the case, that different measures reflect different types or aspects of consciousness, it is questioned whether there is reason to think that they are related to a common phenomenon at all.

Scientific Eliminativism: Why There Can Be No Science of Consciousness,here are reasons to think that the concept of consciousness can never be the proper subject of scientific investigation. The potential implications of this (scientific) eliminativist stance towards the concept of consciousness in other fields are also briefly discussed.

Modernity, Post-modernity and Urban Culture,f describing mechanisms of consciousness, it is suggested that both accounts are best described as identifying selected parts of sensory and cognitive processes that are well-documented elsewhere. In this case, ‘consciousness’ does not seem to refer to a scientific kind, and so is unlikely to be a viable target for scientific investigation.
