Quantum Monte Carlo Investigations for the Hubbard Model,el. The partition function is decomposed using the Trotter-Suzuki transformation (TS), the interaction is decoupled using the Hubbard-Stratonovich transformation. The problems that arise due to numerical instabilities and the negative sign problem, which is due to the Monte Carlo sampling technique, are briefly mentioned.

Monte Carlo Simulations of Spin Systems,at a continuous phase transition. For the example of the three-dimensional Heisenberg model it is shown how precise estimates of the transition temperature and the critical exponents can be extracted from the raw data. I conclude with a brief overview of recent results from similar high-precision studies of the Ising and XY models.
