Large-Scale Boundary Element Analysis in Solid Mechanics Using Fast Multipole Methoda parallel algorithm of FMBEM for PC cluster are briefly presented. Some applications are presented, including: 2D and 3D simulation of composite materials, simulation of 2D elastic solid containing large number of cracks and fatigue crack growth. A new approach of FMBEM for elasto-plasticity problems is also presented.

Enriched Element Method and Its Applications to Solid Mechanicseme where the strain field is defined over clustered local elements in addition to the standard finite element method displacement field. In order to determine the unknown parameter, the Hellinger-Reissner Principle is employed. The motivation of the study is to seek the better accuracy in the FMM.
