Particle-laden turbulent flows: direct simulation and closure models, paper also shows how the results of direct simulation can be used to improve current closure models of these flows. Particle dispersion in a decaying grid-turbulence is studied using DNS, and the results are compared with the measurements of Snyder and Lumley (1971).

Hydrodynamic scaling relationships for fluidisation,article pressure.
