Coherent Optical Communication,ately 20 dB (homodyne detection can reach 23 dB), allowing for longer distance transmission under the same power. Furthermore, coherent optical communication systems are more conductive to the suppression of atmospheric turbulence and channel fading. This chapter introduces the concepts behind coherent optical communication.

Adaptive Optics Correction,les of the classical AO structure, wavefront sensor, and deformable mirror are introduced. Finally, the AO system is analyzed based on the characteristics of the coherent optical communication system and validated through a field experiment.
