Comparative Advantageg and Japan had enjoyed comparative advantage in CFGT trade in the period of 2002–2017. Most of countries in Asia imported CFGT during 2002–2008; however, they did not enjoy comparative advantage in CFGT export for the said period.

Competitiveness of CFGTs, Japan, China and Hong Kong were the most important economies from Asia in world export of CFGT in 2002 and 2008. Among the performers India, China and South Korea’s competitiveness has improved their positions in the pre-global crisis period.

Mapping the Movement of CFGTates possible future trade movements in selected countries in Asia such as China, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Here this study considers trade gaps in 2005 and 2008 and highlights possible direction in bilateral trade flow between pair of trading partners.
