Case-Based Reasoning for Inert Systems in Building Energy Managementto consideration, such as weather forecast data. This includes a post-mortem assessment function that balances energy consumption with comfort for the users. We briefly discuss retrieval and reuse issues. We report on an experimental evaluation of the approach based on a building simulation, including 35 years of historical weather data.

Concurrency and Multiversioning,is engaged in a learning activity, there is a benefit to moving beyond the expected or “best match” and include results based on computational models of novelty and surprise. In this paper, models of novelty and surprise are integrated with both CBR and Recommender Systems to encourage user curiosity.
