The Effect of the Finite Extracellular Resistance on Impulse Conduction in the Ventricular Myocardiulow in the extracellular compartment is approximately of the same magnitude as the resistance in the intracellular compartment. The extracellular electrical resistance therefore exerts an important influence on impulse propagation within the ventricular wall.
