Expansion of Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells in a Microcarrier Bioreactor,mmonly used in large scale expansion of adherent cells. This chapter describes a detailed culture protocol for hMSC expansion in a 125 mL spinner flask using microcarriers, Cytodex I, and a procedure for cell seeding, expansion, metabolic sampling, and quantification and visualization using microculture tetrazolium (MTT) reagent.

Here, we describe a method to build an in vitro model of Ewing’s sarcoma that mimics the key properties of the native tumor and provides the tissue context and physical regulatory signals.

Use of Microfluidic Technology to Monitor the Differentiation and Migration of Human ESC-Derived Neerentiation. We also showed that bundles of axons formed and extended into the microchannels..Taken together, these results demonstrated that microfluidics technology can provide useful tools to study neurite outgrowth and axon guidance of neural cells, which are derived from human embryonic stem cells.
