Wolfgang Grodd,Christian F. Beckmannough oxidation of the compounds to forms which are easily removed either by precipitation or dry deposition. The OH radical is the major oxidising agent and is formed from the UV photolysis of ozone which releases O(.D) atoms which subsequently react with water vapour to produce the radicals.
