Another important design issue is the maintenance of oxygen supply as these reactors are scaled-up for commercial production. Detection of Mammalian Cell Attachment and Lysis on a Metal Surface Using a Piezoelectric Sensorthe sensor. The piezoelectric sensor was successfully applied to detect cell lysis caused by infection of Vesicular Stomatitis Virus. Such a sensor is potentially useful in the detection of cytopathic and stimulatory effects on cell growth.
