Computer Based Design and Manufacturing a single session in correspondence with the dominant group of symptoms are performed (thalamic and subthalamic target points of the extrapyramidal motor nuclei and dentate nucleus). The results are presented. Continuous physical therapy after the operation and a reasonable intellectual level are essential for improvement.

The lesion in the pulvinar may moreover be combined with the target in the centrum medianum or in the nuclei VIM-VCP or VOP. Lesions are always asymmetric and multilocular. Their influence on the clinical picture is quite favourable.

Robert J. Seidel,Peter D. Weddley complemented the analysis of neuronal activity by the introduction of new and very powerful statistical techniques. The knowledge of specific patterns of unitary activity within the thalamic nuclei may give additional information useful for the localization of the target.
